Lavrentaki Aikaterini

Dr. Katerina Lavrentaki is an Endocrinologist and Diabetologist who completed her specialist training at Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens. She is a graduate of the School of Medicine at the University of Crete and holds a Master’s degree in Bioethics from the Department of Philosophy and Social Studies of the University of Crete, as well as a Master’s degree in Research in Female Reproduction from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

Dr. Lavrentaki completed her specialty training in Endocrinology at the Department of Endocrinology of Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens, which has been designated as a Centre of Expertise for rare endocrine disorders of the pituitary and adrenal glands, as well as thyroid cancer, and also operates as a specialised Diabetes Centre.

She has participated in research studies published in reputable international scientific journals, as well as in international clinical trials evaluating the safety and efficacy of novel therapies for rare endocrine disorders. She remains actively engaged in continuing medical education and professional development by attending conferences, seminars and educational programmes covering the various fields of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

Dr. Lavrentaki maintains private practices in Ampelokipi, Athens, and Heraklion, Crete. She also serves as a Scientific Associate at the Endocrinology Unit and Centre of Expertise for Neuroendocrine Tumours of the First Department of Propaedeutic Internal Medicine at Laiko General Hospital of Athens.

Since May 2023, she has been serving as an Endocrinologist at Metropolitan Hospital, where she is responsible for the effective management of patients attending the Outpatient Endocrinology Clinic, as well as hospitalised patients. She provides care with a strong sense of professional responsibility and works closely with other clinical specialists to ensure a multidisciplinary approach that benefits both patients and the wider clinical team.
