Dovris Dimitrios

Dimitrios Dovris is a board-certified Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive clinical and academic experience.

He completed his residency in Orthopedics at the General Hospital of Nikaia and at KAT Hospital, obtaining his specialty title in 2010. In 2014, he was awarded a PhD in Medicine from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, graduating with distinction (Excellent).

He has worked as an Orthopedic Surgeon at Atheneum B, the Euroclinic of Athens, and Iaso Children’s Hospital. Since 2011, he has been a member of the medical staff at Metropolitan Hospital. Over the years, he has also served as a doctor for the Hellenic Equestrian Federation and the Greek Football Federation, Venue Medical Doctor for the 2011 Special Olympics World Games, and physician at the National Center for Health Operations of the Ministry of Health. From 2013 to 2014, he was Head of Medical Services at the “George Karaiskakis” Stadium, and in 2019–2020 he served as physician for the Olympiacos Football Academies.

Dr. Dovris has also specialized in Aviation Medicine, completing his basic training at the European School of Aviation Medicine in Frankfurt (2020) and his advanced training at the Aviation Medicine Center in Thessaloniki (2022). Since 2022, he has been a Medical Expert for ICAO and a medical assessor at the Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority (HCAA). He has also been appointed as an expert witness for Interamerican Insurance, the Prosecutor’s Office, and the Court of First Instance of Athens.

He is an active member of the International Society of Arthroscopy (ISA), the Hellenic Association of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology (EEXOT), and the General Medical Council (GMC) in the UK. He has participated in numerous international orthopedic seminars and conferences, and his research has been published in both Greek and international scientific journals.

His areas of expertise include arthroscopic surgery for sports injuries, minimally invasive hip and knee surgery, foot surgery, and traumatology. He maintains private practices in Glyka Nera (Attica) and at HealthSpot in Kifissia (HHG), while also providing medical coverage for international missions of the Hellenic Basketball Federation.
