2004 – 2022 Head & Coordinator, Orthopaedic Department – Shoulder Surgery Unit Asklipieio General Hospital of Voula, Athens

Established and directed Greece’s first comprehensive Shoulder Surgery Unit in the public healthcare system. Supervised and trained over 140 orthopaedic residents and fellows. Developed advanced clinical programs in shoulder arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, arthroscopic reconstruction, and complex fracture management.

1989 – 2004 Founder & Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon – Shoulder Surgery Unit Asklipieio General Hospital of Voula, Athens

Founded the Shoulder Surgery Unit, introducing dedicated shoulder and upper limb surgery within the hospital’s orthopaedic department. Pioneered modern shoulder arthroplasty and arthroscopy techniques in the Greek public health sector. Laid the foundation for the first independent Shoulder Surgery Unit in Greece.
