Kreon Symeonidis is a General Surgeon and a Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, with many years of clinical experience.
He has worked in various hospitals, undertaking responsibilities in surgical departments and emergency care units.
Born and raised in Piraeus, he graduated from Zanneio Model Lyceum of Piraeus in 1984. He received his Medical Degree in 1992 from the HMI I. Pavlov Medical Academy, graduating with honors. He completed his military service in a special unit in the Evros region.
He specialized in General Surgery at the 4th Surgical Department of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, where he obtained his title as a General Surgeon.
He has received training in polytrauma management, in the Intensive Care and Trauma Research Unit, in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in Minimally Invasive Surgery (laparoscopic surgery) at the European Surgical Institute in Hamburg, Germany.
He has published medical articles and papers in both Greek and international conferences, as well as in international medical journals.
He has been awarded First Prize by the Hellenic Surgical Society and has received an honorary distinction in Experimental Surgery and Research.
He has been elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Piraeus Medical Association, as well as an elector of the General Assembly of the Panhellenic Medical Association.
