Preparation:
You should not have undergone a CT scan with intravenous contrast within the past 2 weeks (or used any iodine-containing substances in general).
Procedure:
Approximately 20 minutes after the administration of the radiopharmaceutical, your initial scan will take place.
You will then remain in the waiting area for 2 hours, after which a second scan will be performed.
Depending on the findings, a second administration of the radiopharmaceutical and a third scan may be required.
