Cases:
1. After therapeutic iodine treatment (5–7 days post-treatment):
No preparation is required.
2. Following Thyrogen protocol:
(1st injection, 2nd injection, 3rd day – administration of 5 mCi I-131, 4th day – blood test, 5th day – imaging)
No preparation is required.
3. Following withdrawal from thyroid hormone therapy (ONLY in this case is preparation necessary):
- Discontinue T4 (levothyroxine) for 1 month
- Discontinue T3 (liothyronine) for 2 weeks
