Internal Medicine Specialist specializing in Diabetes and SCOPE (Certification of Obesity Specialist Professional Education) National.
Since 2003, he has been the Director of the Metropolitan Hospital Department of Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism; since 2015, he has been the Head of the Orthobiotiki Medical Clinic Department of Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism.
His scientific interest focuses on metabolic diseases and diet-related conditions. This is manifested both in his clinical experience and his participation in research papers that have been presented in Greek, Mediterranean, European and international conferences. At the same time, he has participated as Chairman or Lecturer in Conference Round Tables, as well as Chairman in Paper Sessions. In addition, he has repeatedly been an organizing committee member for Greek medical conferences, Chairman in Scientific Committees in various medical conferences, as well as paper reviewer in Greek conferences.
He is a regular member of the Hellenic Diabetes Association and the European Association for the Study of Diabetes. Furthermore, he is a founding member of the Hellenic Medical Association for Obesity and has repeatedly served as a member of the Board of Directors, Chairman, Secretary General, Treasurer, etc., while he currently serves as Chairman of the Board. He is a member of the European Association for the Study of Obesity, as well as of the World Obesity Federation. He is a founding member of the Balkan Network for the Study of Obesity (2002). He is a former member of the Executive Board and the Organizing Committee for the 14th European Congress on Obesity in 2005, and a member of the Organizing Committee for the 1st International Diabetes & Obesity Forum.
